Terra cotta, creeping red fescue

Emboldened by the success of their Chia Pets, Chia Heads and other terra-cotta works, The Chia Company applied for and was given a grant from The IKEAź Foundation to pursue the logical extension of their line into full-scale furniture.

This casual side chair was the first in the series. The seeds are packed into grooves in the soaked chair in the normal fashion. In this case creeping red fescue, a more durable grass, replaces the traditional salvia columbariae used in the other products.
